Prophetic Painting

Prophetic Paintings

"Eagle" - At the time I had been meditating on the following scripture:

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

My favorite is "Battle horse" because I have always loved horses and enjoy drawing and painting them.  I used the following scripture from Job:

Job 39:19-25 (NKJV)

19  "Have you given the horse strength? Have you clothed his neck with thunder?
20  Can you frighten him like a locust? His majestic snorting strikes terror.
21  He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength; He gallops into the clash of arms.
22  He mocks at fear, and is not frightened; Nor does he turn back from the sword.
23  The quiver rattles against him, The glittering spear and javelin.
24  He devours the distance with fierceness and rage; Nor does he come to a halt because the trumpet has sounded.
25  At the blast of the trumpet he says, 'Aha!' He smells the battle from afar, The thunder of captains and shouting.

"Stairs to Heaven" is based on a dream that Jacob had where he saw a ladder (some translations read "stairs").  Although it doesn't show very well in the photo, I painted the stairs in iridescent gold paint.

Genesis 28:12 (NKJV)

12  Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

"Lion of the Tribe of Judah" - I remember that as I was painting I felt the Lord was impressing upon me to make the eyes more human and with a look of kindness and compassion.

Reveleation 5:4-5. (NKJV)

4  I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.
5  Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."

For "Rainbow" I used the following scripture from Genesis:

Genesis 9:12-15 (NKJV)

12  And God said: "This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13  I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.
14  It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud;
15  and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.
